Stichting Informatie Dierproeven Our Foundation provides information about scientific experiments with animals to the Dutch public. In 2005 our Foundation started to publish all available information about animal testing. We were founded by organisations of patients, medical scientists and laboratory animal specialists and we are now supported by many others, including the Royal Dutch Academy of Science. Our focus point is the importance of biomedical research (with animals) for patients with diseases for which there is no optimal treatment yet.

Le GIRCOR, Groupe Interprofessionnel de Réflexion et de Communication sur la Recherche, an association of public and private research institutions, aims at informing the public about the contribution of animal studies to medical and scientific progress. Through GRICE, Groupe de Réflexion Interprofessionnel sur les Comités d’Ethique, GIRCOR also supports the activities of the Ethics Committees for animal studies.

The CALAR research group started in 1999 and consists of scientists from the Copenhagen University. Faculty of Life Sciences and Faculty o Health Sciences and the industry partners and has the main foucs on improvement of the welfare of animals and humans in laboratory animal facilities.

Pro Forschung e.V. – Initiative für medizinischen Fortschritt (initiative for medical progress) is a non-profit association which contributes to making biomedical progress known to a broader public. Research is beneficial to mankind. And biomedical research supports the development of effective pharmaceuticals with few side effects and also improves surgery techniques. But this research is often confronted with various doubts. Pro Forschung e.V. supports a constructive dialogue between politics, the public and the media regarding matters of biomedical research.
