The Nuffield Council report

After an extensive consultation, the Nuffield Council delivered a report on the Ethics of Research Involving Animals in 2005. The Report describes a number of ethical viewpoints on research involving animals and invites the reader to decide which they find to be the most acceptable. Despite the range of views that exist, the report includes a 'Consensus Statement' that identifies agreement on several important issues.
