L'Expérimentation animale en Europe - Quelles alternatives? Quelle gouvernance? Pour ce Rapport ont été auditionné plus de 150 personnes en France et à l'étranger représentant plus de 70 institutions, établissements et associations, depuis les grands instituts de recherche publique jusqu'aux associations de protection animale et aux éleveurs d'animaux de laboratoire en passant par les agences gouvernementales et les laboratoires pharmaceutiques. EPAA Progress Report 2009
The new European Directive 2010/63/EU (to replace EU 86/609) was finalised and came into force across the EU in November 2010. Member States have two years to transpose it into their national systems of legislation. Full implementation of the Directive then starts in January 2013.
